Lorne Gardner and John Greechan are experienced sports journalists who have worked at the very heart of the sports media industry for decades.
In that time, they have built relationships and contacts with all the key players in the game.
Lorne Gardner worked with the Daily Mail/Mail on Sunday for 25 years – rising to the position of Head of Sport before moving to the Times as Sports Editor.
John Greechan is an award-winning writer whose career in sports journalism saw him work for the Daily Mail in both Scotland and for many years in London. He returned to Glasgow as chief sports writer for the Daily Mail before moving as sports feature writer to The Times.
They are both skilled storytellers who have the inside track on what works for sports desks … and more importantly, what doesn’t.

Lorne’s book ‘1971 -What A Sensation’ charts the remarkable story of Partick Thistle’s League Cup win in 1971 and was published in 2021.
John’s book ‘REVOLUTION - Ange Postecoglou, the Man, the Methods and the Mastery’ was published in 2023 and was nominated for the Charles Tyrwhitt Sports Book of the Year award.
